Two flavors of bundle
- Fixed bundles. The merchant decides what goes in the box. Subscribers choose the cadence. Example: a coffee-of-the-month box.
- Build-a-box. Subscribers pick N items from a curated pool every cycle, with optional rules like “at least 2 caffeinated.” Example: a snack box where the subscriber picks 6 of 18 flavors each shipment.
Native to Shopify inventory
Both flavors decrement Shopify inventory as if each line were a normal product — no parallel inventory tracking, no race conditions during the morning billing run. Out-of-stock items auto-swap to a merchant-defined fallback, or skip the cycle, or notify the subscriber for a manual swap. Your call.
The cancel flow understands bundles
When a subscriber clicks cancel on a build-a-box, the retention engine knows which items they pick most often and can offer a one-cycle swap (“Try the lighter roast next time, on us”) instead of leaning on a flat discount. We’ve seen 8-14% lift in saves on build-a-box cancels using item-aware offers.
Who this is for
Coffee, snacks, supplements, beauty, anything where the variety is the value prop. If “curation” is part of your brand promise, bundles is the feature that delivers on it without a separate app subscription.
